Hungarian registered job seeker numbers down in June
A total of 291,600 registered job seekers were looking for employment in Hungary at the end of June, a decrease of 20.5%, or 75,000 fewer people, than the same period a year ago, the National Employment Office (NFSZ) said on its website, according to a report yesterday by Hungarian news agency MTI.
Around 89,300 people, or 30.6% of the total, had been seeking employment for more than one year in June, which is 16.6% fewer than in the same period last year, MTI said.
Of the registered job seekers, 34,200 people, or 11.7% of the total, were unemployed school leavers, according to MTI.
