Hungarian government plans to raise doctorsʼ pay by 27% this year, 12% next year

Base salaries of Hungarian physicians and pharmacists will rise by 26.5%, on average, this year and by an additional 12% from November 2017, Human Resources Minister Zoltán Balog said today, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.

Base salaries of doctors and pharmacists will rise by a gross HUF 107,000 a month from September 2016 and by a further HUF 100,000 from November 2017, Balog said, after reaching an agreement on remuneration in the healthcare sector

The base pay of doctors in residency will rise by HUF 50,000 from November of next year, he added.
