Hungarian food and wine companies are currently showing at the 30th Salon de Gourmets trade show in Madrid, on until Thursday, Hungarian news agency MTI reported this morning.

Among the companies whose products are on display at the Hungarian stand are the Gere Attila cellars of Villány and the Szent Tamás cellars from the Tokaj wine region. Dunst and Rose is showing its mangalitsa sausage and truffle products and chocoMe its custom made chocolates. The Hungarian National Trading House (MNKH) is promoting its Áldomás brand of premium foods.

Hungary is among 21 countries showing at the four-day event, which started on Monday. The organizers expect about 85,000 visitors.

Enikő Győri, Hungaryʼs ambassador to Spain, said Hungary is undergoing a “gastronomy revolution” and noted that Budapest now has four Michelin-starred restaurants and is hosting the continental selection for the next Bocuse DʼOr.
