Hungarian companies participate in Japanʼs Foodex 2016
Altogether fifteen Hungarian companies have traveled to Japan to participate in food and beverage expo Foodex 2016, Hungary’s government commissioner Gyula Budai told Hungarian news agency MTI today.
The mangalitsa hog (pictured) accounts for the majority of the Hungary’s food exports to Japan, along with other meat products, as well as acacia honey, which is also being promoted, Budai told the news agency.
He added that the companies will be able to present their products to Japanese business people, who are interested in the pork industry. Another exhibition will lay the groundwork for Hungarian wineries to present wine to representatives of the biggest Japanese wine importers, Budai told MTI.
