Fewer people seek jobs in Hungary
The number of registered jobseekers dropped by 17.5% in September, as compared to the same month a year earlier, the National Employment Office (NFSZ) said on its website yesterday. The figure was 282,000, dropping from last year’s 341,700 and the previous month’s 283,300.
The number of people seeking jobs for more than 12 months also dropped in September by 0.4 percentage points, when compared to the same month a year earlier, to 29.4% of the total, NFSZ data shows.
In terms of qualifications, the number of jobseekers holding university degrees was put at 17,600, the number of school leavers stood at 34,800, while the number of unskilled jobseekers came to 146,000.
