EV charging station volume climbs 30% in 2020

Charging volume at public EV charging stations in Hungary rose 30% to 7.1 GWh last year, the Hungarian Energy and Public Utilities Regulatory Office (MEKH) said on Friday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The number of charges climbed 25%, MEKH said.

There were 1,320 public EV charging stations in Hungary last year, up from 770 in 2019. The most charging stations were in Budapest (479), followed by Győr (39), Kecskemét (37), and Székesfehérvár (37).
