Daily share turnover drops in May

Daily share turnover on the Budapest Stock Exchange fell to HUF 9.2 bln in May, down 31.8% as compared to the previous month, the bourse said yesterday, news agency MTI reported. Spot market turnover exceeded HUF 191 bln for the month, including almost HUF 184 bln in share turnover. 

For January-May, daily share turnover came to HUF 10.4 bln, 31.9% more than in the same period a year earlier.

Concorde brokered the most deals on the share market in May, generating 18.3% of the total. Runner-up was Wood and Company, brokering 17.5% of the total, followed by Erste Befektetési, with 15.4%. Turnover on the derivatives market rose 3.1% to around HUF 188 bln in May.
