Chinese, Hungarian companies make media exchange deal

Analysis

Hungary’s Cineworks Studio solidified a strategic partnership with China Broadcasting Media (CBM), the companies announced at a signing ceremony at the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) Budapest, World Screen reported today.

The companies will utilize Cinework Studio’s Go To Casting screen-acting school to create dubbing director, script translator, and voice actor courses, as well as implement pertinent research, the companies said. Their long term goal is to foster the dubbing of Chinese films and television series in Hungary, and for Cineworks Studio to help CBM grow its business in Hungary and Eastern Europe, they continued.

The companies will also collaborate on the exchange of media between China and Hungary submitting recommendations for local films and television to each other and assist on reciprocal distribution of these productions in their respective markets, the companies noted.

Cineworks Studio and CBM will also work together on a documentary highlighting young Chinese people living in China and Hungary, the parties concluded at the meeting.
