BUX makes moderate gain on cue of W European markets
The Budapest Stock Exchangeʼs main BUX index finished the session on Monday up 0.29% at 27,089.72 on low turnover, producing moderate gains similar to other markets in Europe. US markets and London were closed for holidays on Monday.
OTP Bank gained 0.80% to HUF 6,945 on turnover of HUF 1.53 bln of a HUF 4.71 bln session total.
Oil and gas company MOL rose 0.83% to HUF 16,465 on turnover of HUF 1.92 bln.
Richter fell 0.75% to HUF 5,795 after a more than 4% jump on Friday. Turnover of the share was HUF 1.05 bln.
Magyar Telekom edged down 0.22% to HUF 458 on turnover of HUF 0.1 bln.
The bourseʼs mid-cap BUMIX index slipped 0.16% to 1,769.08
Elsewhere in the region, Warsawʼs WIG 20 rose 0.14% and the Prague PX increased 0.25%.
Markets open in Western Europe were up before the end of trade on Monday. Frankfurtʼs DAX rose 0.42% and the CAC 40 in Paris climbed 0.24%.
