Bourse monthly turnover edges down in May

Total share turnover of the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) came to HUF 177 billion in May, down from HUF 181 bln in the previous month, the BSE told Hungarian news agency MTI yesterday.
The BSE said monthly turnover was down from HUF 183 bln in the same month a year earlier, noting that the bourse lost practically a full trading day on May 30, when markets remained closed due to holidays in both the United Kingdom and the United States.
Concorde Securities brokered the most share deals in May with trades of HUF 72 bln. Wood and Company was runner-up, with trades of HUF 71 bln. Erste Investment took third place, generating trades of HUF 65 bln.
