BAMOSZ: Investment funds assets fall 1.5%

Assets in investment funds managed by members of the Association of Hungarian Investment Fund and Asset Management Companies (BAMOSZ) fell 1.5% to HUF 5.632 trillion in June from the previous month, BAMOSZ said yesterday, according to Hungarian news agency MTI. 

Assets in money market funds fell 5.9% to HUF 1.083 trillion on net redemptions of HUF 63 billion. Assets in property funds grew 2.5% to HUF 655 bln as net sales reached HUF 14 bln. Assets in derivative funds rose 3.3% to HUF 135 bln on net unit sales of HUF 5 bln.

Some HUF 9 bln of net redemptions of bond fund units brought assets in the funds to HUF 1.308 trillion. Mixed fund assets fell 1.6% to HUF 750 bln on net redemptions of HUF 11 bln. Assets in share funds declined 4.5% to HUF 261 bln on net redemptions of HUF 9 bln.

Assets in principal-protected funds fell to HUF 389 bln as net redemptions reached HUF 5 bln. Assets in absolute-yield funds fell 1% to HUF 765 bln on net redemptions of HUF 6 bln.
