Assets in investment funds managed by members of the Association of Hungarian Investment Fund and Asset Management Companies (BAMOSZ) fell by HUF 124.7 billion or 2.2% to HUF 5.574 trillion in February, BAMOSZ said yesterday, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.

The drop mainly reflected withdrawals, and unlike in January, the assets were reduced by negative yields.

Assets in money market funds fell 6% to HUF 1.248 tln on withdrawals of HUF 79.3 bln.

Assets in bond funds declined 1.1% to HUF 1.287 tln on withdrawals of HUF 18.2 bln.

Mixed fund assets fell 1.8% to HUF 754 bln as clients made withdrawals of HUF 12 bln.

Property fund assets rose 1.6% to HUF 586 bln on fresh capital inflow of HUF 8.5 bln and positive yields.

Assets in share funds edged down 0.9% to HUF 251 bln as the funds drew fresh funds of HUF 750 million but yields were negative.

Assets in capital-guaranteed funds inched down 0.5% to HUF 420 bln on negative yields in spite of net capital inflow of HUF 700 mln.

Absolute-yield fund assets were down 3.1% at HUF 706 bln. Clients made withdrawals worth HUF 25.3 bln, which were only partly offset by positive yields.
