Average earnings up 1.3% y.o.y. through February
In a round of figures released by the Central Statistics Office (KSH), in the national economy (defined as those corporations employing at least five persons), average earnings increased by 1.3% year-on-year in the January-February 2014 period. KSH reported full-time employees’ average gross nominal earnings at HUF 226,600; within this, the average full-time business employee earned HUF 241,200 per month.
Average gross earnings of fostered workers were HUF 78,100.
At the top of the ranking in terms of average monthly wage were financial and insurance activities (HUF 462,600), followed by information and communication (HUF 449,900) and utility supply (HUF 370,000). At the end of the ranking were human health and social work activities (HUF 139,300), accommodation and food service activities (HUF 153,100) and agriculture, forestry and fishing (HUF 163,200).
