Lázár suggests 50% wage raise for low-income public sector workers
Cabinet chief János Lázár yesterday proposed raising the salaries of the lowest earners in the public sector by 50%.
Speaking at a weekly press conference, Lázár said there was about HUF 25 bln of room for maneuver in the allocation for the introduction of a career path model in the public sector in the first half of next year. The lowest earners in the public sector make just HUF 80,000-100,000 a month, he added.
