A solution using artificial intelligence was developed for the recognition and isolation of certain cells by the staff of the Szeged Biological Research Center as part of a large international consortium, according to an announcement on its website.

In addition to answering basic biological research questions, the procedure can even be used for individualized therapies, the institution belonging to the Hungarian Research Network (HUN-REN) announced on its website.

The aim of the research work carried out in the framework of the project, which is also supported by the American Broad Institute and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, is to develop as perfectly as possible the previously developed single-cell analytical procedure, unique in the world, which can discover even the smallest differences in the individual analysis of the building blocks of the organization in biological samples, thus enabling a better understanding of cell biological processes and pathological changes.

Using the method, which is now fully automated and applied with extreme precision, researchers analyze the unique characteristics and phenotypes expressed at the level of individual cells.
