Hungarian Suzuki has seen a growth in its sales since the introduction of Vitara in March, due to the high popularity of the model, which helped the manufacturer to regain its leading stance in the Hungarian market, an announcement issued today reveals.

In September, Suzuki placed 928 vehicles on the market, while in the period of January-September a total of 5,049 cars were sold, Suzuki said. Market share of the Japan-based company reached 14.8% in September, following August’s 10.2% and July’s 10.6% shares.

Some 597 Vitaras were sold in Hungary, keeping it in the first place among SUVs sold in the country. In the first nine months of the year, Vitara led the list of sold vehicles with 2,119, Suzuki said.
