Royal Marketing Europa has been fined HUF 12.19 million by the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) on charges of misleading consumers with offers for timeshare rights, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.

According to the authority, the firm informed its clients that it was a reseller of timeshare rights, but GVH ruled this was not part of the company’s business service. GVH said the company also failed to inform its clients that they had a right to withdraw following the signing of contracts, MTI reported.
