Romanian footwear firm to launch online store for Hungarians

After opening stores in Romania, Il Passo footwear is planning to launch online store operations in Hungary and Bulgaria, investing approximately €200,000 in the launch and promotion of these stores, news portal Business Review reported today.

The brand has been operating in Romania for 17 years, and currently has 15 stores. Sales amounted to €7.5 million in 2015, with online store sales representing €600,000, the report added.  

In addition to purchasing inventory, the company also produces over 10,000 pairs per season, which is managed by a staff of 25 and accounts for approximately 30% of the company’s total sales, according to the portal.
