Report: Szijjártó meets Audi chairman in Ingolstadt

Hungaryʼs Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó yesterday met with Rupert Stadler, the chairman of Audi, at the German carmakerʼs headquarters in Ingolstadt, Hungarian news agency MTI reported early this morning.

The foreign minister told MTI that talks on expanding capacity at Audiʼs plant in Győr, northwestern Hungary, are underway, and hopefully, there "will be good news" this fall.

It was reported yesterday, that the Hungarian unit of German carmaker Audi turned out 1,067,525 engines at its plant in Győr, northwestern Hungary, in the first half of the year, practically level with the number produced in the same period a year earlier.
