Rába completes HUF 4 bln development
Hungarian automotive industry company Rába Járműipari Holding has completed a HUF 4 billion development co-funded with European Union and national resources at its axle and vehicle manufacturing division, Hungarian news agency MTI reported yesterday.
The development, begun in 2013, has created 50 jobs.
The vehicle manufacturing division, Rába Jármű, completed a HUF 1.4 bln development with HUF 395 million in EU funding while the HUF 2.083 bln development of the axle division, Rába Futómű, was supported with HUF 625 mln in EU funding.
Sándor Kocsis, head of operations and quality assurance at Rába Futómű, said the company has purchased new equipment, developed its software and upgraded its parts assembly unit, establishing a so-called clean room that spans 8,600 sqm.
János Torma, managing director of Rába Jármű, said they have bought new equipment and renovated their 28,000 sqm production hall. The development supports the joint Rába-Volvo bus program, and also allows for further expansion, he added.
