NMHH fines parliament broadcast
Hungary’s National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) fined the service provider of the country’s Parlament TV, a channel chiefly broadcasting the happenings of the Hungarian Parliament live, for HUF 50,000 on charges of broadcasting too few public shows, and using an inappropriate identification signal, the NMHH announced on Friday.
The television channel used the P+ signal for their broadcasts instead of the contractualized “Parlament TV” and broadcast shows dealing with public issues in less than 67% of the overall broadcast time, which is against the contract, the announcement said.
