More than 35,000 cars in Hungary involved in VW scandal

Volkswagen has published its action plan for the recalling of cars in the VW’s scandal which involved the rigging of engines, and has named the types of the 35,283 cars to be recalled in Hungary, online daily origo.hu reported today.
The list of cars in question in Hungary include 12,427 Volkswagen passenger cars, 6,014 Audis, 11,964 Skodas, 535 Seats and 4,343 Volkswagen commercial cars.
The German car manufacturer, however, noted that all vehicles are safe and in running order and its new cars available with Euro 6 engines comply with current legal requirements and regulations on environmental protection.
VW will inform competent authorities this month about the technological solutions and measures to be taken to fix the engines in question. Following this, owners of cars with these engines will be informed on a course of action. All brands in the VW group have already launched websites to inform car owners where they can receive information.
