MOL anticipates substantial sales growth at petrol station shops

Hungarian oil and gas company MOL is expecting double-digit sales growth at its petrol station shops, Zsolt Pethő, who heads MOLʼs downstream business, said yesterday, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.

MOL is planning to refurbish the shops and offer a broader range of products and services at ten petrol stations in the next two months and at about one-third of its 364 filling stations in Hungary in the next few years.

MOL has already increased its product range at 160 filling stations since legislation requiring most big retailers to remain closed on Sunday came into effect in March. Stores at filling stations can remain open on Sunday, but Pethő says there is no connection between the legal change and the increase in product range.
