Messer Group acquires Hungarian unit of Air Liquide
German industrial gas producer Messer Groupʼs Hungarian unit has acquired 100% of the local business of peer Air Liquide, Messer announced on Tuesday.
Messer is taking over the assets and customers of Air Liquide as well as more than 50 employees. The deal still requires regulatory approvals, which could take six months.
Messerʼs Hungarian unit Messer Hungarogáz is one of the biggest companies on the domestic industrial gas market. It has five plants in Hungary and had HUF 15 bln in sales revenue last year.
