German-owned electronics retailer Media Markt saw a 20% revenue rise in Hungary in 2015, to HUF 72 billion, Csongor Német, managing director of Media Markt-Saturn Holding Hungary, said yesterday, according to reports.

The increase in the revenue, which includes sales both in the company’s 22 stores and online, is double the turnover increase registered by consumer electronics within the domestic retail sector, the managing director said, according to reports.

The managing director noted that online sales doubled for Media Markt over the last year, while online retail trade grew by 20% in the country as compared to the previous year.
