MÁV awards Jánosik és Társai a HUF 1 bln cleaning contract

Hungarian state-owned railway company MÁV awarded Hungarian firm Jánosik és Társai Kft., in a consortium, a HUF 1 billion cleaning contract, Hungarian news agency reported today.

The company won a 3+1 year contract to clean 400 railway stations and 14 office buildings in Budapest and southeast Hungary, owner Lajos Jánosik told the news agency today.

The company, which had a headcount of over 1,000 last year, saw a 30% revenue rise in cleaning services amounting to HUF 4.5 bln, MTI said. Overall revenue, including that from building management, reached HUF 10 bln, up from HUF 8.4 bln in 2014, MTI added.

Last year the company was contracted for a HUF 538 mln expansion and improvement of the state-owned Mata Stud Farm in Hortobágy after winning a public procurement contract.
