Libri to see HUF 9.1 bln revenue this year

Hungarian book retailer Libri said today in a statement that it expects to see a net sales revenue of HUF 9.1 bln this year, HUF 800 mln higher than in the previous year.

Libri’s revenue is set to reach HUF 8.4 bln today, HUF 100 mln as compared to the same period last year. Libri sees further revenue growth in the next five days, which is known as the busiest time of the year for book retailers.

According to the bookstore, their most frequented store is located in the Allee shopping center in Budapest, which is expected to have an approximate turnover of HUF 300 mln during the holiday season.

Libri operates 35 stores across the country. In 2012 the retailer had revenue of HUF 7.82 bln with a net loss of HUF 250 mln. Last year's net profit was HUF 120 mln.
