K&H clients request HUF 340 mln in home purchase subsidies

Analysis

Clients of K&H Bank applied for nearly HUF 340 million in home purchase subsidies from January-February, Gábor Rajna, who heads the lenderʼs sales network, said yesterday according to Hungarian news agency MTI .

Most of the bankʼs clients are looking to use the subsidies to buy resale homes, Rajna said.

Hungaryʼs government recently introduced the subsidies for families with children along with a preferential loan for households with three or more children.

Rajna said about 26% of the K&H clients who applied for the subsidies asked for the HUF 10 million grant for families with three or more children, according to MTI. About 73% of the clients applying for the subsidies also made a loan application, he added.

In January-February, K&H accounted for almost 15% of mortgage and home loan outlays in Hungary.
