Ipress acquisition by EDS unit receives greenlight

Pharma

The acquisition of direct sole control over Ipress Center Central Europe Zrt. by Fastrock Kft., a member of the EDS group, has been approved by the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH), according to reports. The authority said could not identify any harmful horizontal, vertical or portfolio effects that would result of the merger.

Both groups involved in the merger operate on the market for printing leaflets and magazines, the authority noted, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.

GVH said the EDS group controls 50-60% of the market for leaflet printing, where Ipress has a market share of 5-15%. On the market for magazine printing, Ipress has a market share of about 60% and the EDS group less than 10%, the authority said, according to MTI.

Therefore the GVH established that it could not identify any harmful horizontal, vertical or portfolio effects that would result of the merger, MTI added.
