Invitel raises money for children
Hungarian telecommunication service provider, Invitel and the Magic Lamp Wish Fulfilling Foundation raised HUF 4 mln for children suffering from life-threatening illnesses, Invitel announced in a press release today.
According to the announcement, residents from Baja, Békéscsaba, Cegléd, Celldömölk, Esztergom, Gödöllő, Gyula, Hajdúszoboszló, Hódmezővásárhely, Jászberény, Kecskemét, Sárvár, Salgótarján, Siófok, Szeged, Szentes, Szigetszentmiklós, Tiszaújváros, Vác and Veszprém contributed to the initiative.
“The staff and volunteers of the foundation are consulting with children and their parents on a daily basis,” said Éva Patzauer managing director at Magic Lamp Wish Fulfilling Foundation. According to Patzauer, in the past twelve years, the foundation has helped approximately 2,500 children struggling with illnesses.
The press release noted that older children usually prefer electronic devices, while younger children favor toys.
