Transport

Wizz Air has announced additional flights for Hungarian national football team supporters to the European Football Championship match in Cologne on June 15.

Fans can also travel directly to one of the most exciting sporting events of the year from Albania, Austria, the United Kingdom, Italy, Romania and Serbia with Wizz Air's special flights.

The airline will operate flights from both Budapest and Debrecen to the matches on June 15 and June 19. Football fans who want to cheer on their national team at one of the matches can buy their tickets via the Wizz Air website and the airline's mobile app.

"We are delighted that our special flights to the 2024 European Football Championship matches are so popular. We have already sold out all tickets for our previously announced Budapest-Cologne flight, so we are opening another flight on this route for fans. We hope that with our newly announced special flight, we can fly even more fans to Germany to cheer on the Hungarian national team in person", said Zsuzsa Trubek, Wizz Air communications manager.
