Transport

Ukrainian postal and courier company Nova Post opened its first Hungarian branch on Teréz körút in Budapest this week.

"The Nova Post branch in Budapest is unique because it is not just a place to get fast delivery services. It is also a community coworking space for the Hungarian-Ukrainian community. It is a place for Ukrainians and Ukrainian entrepreneurs to meet, work, exchange ideas, learn the language, and participate in professional training, seminars, and lectures," said Vyacheslav Klimov, co-founder of Nova Post.

At the branch, clients can send documents, parcels, and cargo up to 100 kg to Ukraine and also receive shipments from the country.  The branch is open every day.

On the occasion of the opening of Nova Post, Ukraine's Interim Chargé d'Affaires in Hungary, István Balog, became the first person to send a greeting card to Ukraine from the branch.

"The opening of Nova Post on the Hungarian market is an important step in the development of cooperation between the two countries. In these difficult times for Ukraine, the presence of strong and dynamic domestic companies in international markets demonstrates the adaptability, resilience, and unbreakability of Ukrainian businesses and is an advantage for customers from across the border. Our goal is to support such initiatives and build new bridges for economic growth and partnership. Nova Post reminds us all that determination and perseverance always lead to great results and victories," he noted.

Nova Post also provides delivery services and delivers parcels within Budapest, while Express One is Nova Post's partner for nationwide delivery, helping to deliver parcels to any part of the country and pick-up from the customer's address for delivery to Ukraine. Couriers can be contacted via the NovaPost.com website or the Nova Post mobile app.

Using the Nova Post mobile app, customers can create a delivery order, pay for delivery, call a courier, find the nearest branch, and track the status of their parcel online. The Nova Post mobile app is also available in Hungarian.

"Anyone can call a Nova Post courier to their address, home, or office using the website or the Nova Post mobile app. The courier will come and pick up your shipment where it is convenient for you. The most important thing is that it's already packed," says Marianna Pajda, managing director of Nova Post Hungary.

Nova Post has already opened its own offices in Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Romania, Germany, Slovakia, Moldova and now also in Hungary. The company's next destinations are Italy and France, Nova Post tells the Budapest Business Journal.
