Freight and logistics fees may increase by about 20-25% in 2024, according to the forecast of the Association of Hungarian Logistics Service Centers (MLSzKSz), writes profitline.hu.

The price increase is due to EU legal harmonization measures, environmental protection costs, and inflationary effects.

From the beginning of next year, the change in the fuel excise tax, as well as the expected double-digit wage increase in the sector, will significantly increase the costs of logistics companies, which they are forced to include in their fees.

At the same time, a decrease in energy prices could mitigate the rise in warehouse logistics costs.
