Hungary has ordered 300,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine from the quota reserved for the European Union, virologist Miklós Rusvai told ATV.

This is a new type of vaccine from Pfizer-BioNTech, of which the European Union has ordered 10 million vaccines.

Rusvai explained that the vaccine was developed against the omicron subvariant that caused an epidemic at the beginning of the year, but it also protects well against the Eris and Pirola variants, which are currently driving an epidemic, since these are two subvariants of omicron.
