Moldova Industrial Output Rises in September

Moldova's industrial production increased 1.5% year-on-year in September, following an upwardly revised 0.1% rise in the previous month, web portal Trading Economics reported citing data released by the country's Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
It was the second consecutive month of growth in industrial activity, as output recovered for mining & quarrying (0.3% vs -10.1% in August).
At the same time, output declined less for manufacturing (-0.7% vs -1.6%), while continued to accelerate for electricity, gas, steam & air-conditioning supply (30.1% vs 23%).
On a monthly basis, industrial production rose sharply to 12.9% in September from a 4.6% rise in the previous month.
