TRP Hungary has led a consortium of investors in acquiring the assets of the KymiRing racing circuit in Finland, the motorsports company said in a press release.

The investment consortium includes TRP Hungary; U.S.-based private investor Alex Rabb; Balázs Kerek, the owner of Raorg TransLog; and Mika Wilska, who was born in Finland and has managed several business incubation projects in Germany.

The investors have set up Finland Motorsport Circuit Holding Oy to develop the circuit into an "internationally acclaimed" racetrack.

TRP Hungary has created a development program and phasing strategy that ensures continuous development at the site in the coming years.

The firm noted that financing for the transaction was entirely private, with no public funds involved.
