Garantiqa Signs InvestEU Guarantee Agreement

State-owned guarantor Garantiqa signed an agreement with the European Commission on Monday on InvestEU guarantees worth up to EUR 274 million to support local SMEs in the green and digital sectors, the sides said in a joint press release.
Garantiqa will use the European Union guarantees to finance projects in areas such as food and farming, clean energy, digital supply chain development, R&D and production efficiency.
The agreement allows Garantiqa to support operations with higher credit risk and longer maturities.
The guarantee agreement paves the way for up to EUR 1.5 billion of investment.
