New Car Registrations Climb 10% in Jan-Apr

The number of new passenger car registrations in Hungary rose 10.4% to 42,075 in January-April from the same period a year earlier, the Hungarian Association of Vehicle Importers (MGE) said on Monday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Sales of electric vehicles climbed close to 50%. 

Light commercial vehicle registrations rose 22.3% to 8,247. 

Motorcycle sales increased 10.4% to 2,403.

MGE expects the growth trend to continue, with supply chain problems resolved and interest rates on the decline.
