Hungary’s trade surplus up in June, rises to €5.3 bln in H1

Hungary’s trade surplus was €1.129 billion, up by €302 million in June as compared to the same month a year ago, Hungary’s Central Statistical Office (KSH) said today in a first release of data. For the first half of this year, the trade surplus was €5.3 billion, which was €997 mln greater than the first half of last year, KSH said.

The value of exports amounted to €8.5 bln in June, 5% more than June a year ago, while the value of imports reached €7.3 bln, or 1.3% more than a year ago.

In the first half of the year, the value of exports was €46.7 bln, and that of imports equalled to €41.4 bln. In euro terms, exports were up 3.5% and imports were up 1.5%, in the first half of the year, as compared to the same period a year earlier.
