Hungary’s Magnus Aircraft to enter U.S. market, invest in Texas

Hungary-based Magnus Aircraft is planning a USD 2.8 million greenfield investment in an assembly and maintenance plant in Fredericksburg, Texas, the company announced yesterday according to reports.

Magnus Aircraft foresees the sales of 30-35 of its Fusion 212 low-wing monoplanes in the United States in the 2017 financial year, according to Hungarian news agency MTI. Before mass production of the planes can start in the United States, the Federal Aviation Administration will need to perform one more on-site inspection, the news agency reported.
Magnus Aircraft also signed an agreement with China’s Tianshan Industrial Group on the establishment of a joint venture in September, according to MTI.
