Four men are facing copyright infringement charges for making movies available for download on a Hungarian torrent page called SWZ, and allegedly causing damages valued at approximately HUF 360 million, news portal index.hu reported this morning.

The torrent page shut down in October, 2014, when administrators of the page wrote on a forum: “That’s all, thank you for sticking with us - SWZ team”, index.hu reported. During its operation, which began in September 2011, torrent files for more than 1,900 movies were uploaded, index.hu said.

A torrent file contains metadata of files and folders to be distributed through a client program. The file can also contain a list of the network locations of trackers, which are computers that help participants in the system find each other and form efficient distribution groups for the files to be downloaded.
