Hungarian Suzuki sales increase in July

The Hungarian unit of Japanese Suzuki saw sales increase in July, chiefly due to the success of Vitara as well as a winter tire campaign for the S-CROSS, Suzuki said in a press release.

In the month of July, Suzuki had two cars leading in sales in their respective categories: the Vitara leading the SUV segment, with 1,220 units sold, year-to-date; and the Swift leading the B segment with 1,318 units sold, year-to-date, according to the press release.

Apart from these leading positions, Suzuki has sold 740 units in July alone – 472 in private sales and 268 in unit fleet sales. During the period of January to July of this year, the car company sold 3,609 units – 1,988 in private sales and 1,621 in unit fleet registration. Its market share is currently 10.55%.

Suzuki also sees "a small shift in fleet sale trends: companies are more willing to buy low fuel consumption B category models, which will be favorable for Suzuki hopefully and attract new potential customers in 2015."
