GYSEV purchases used carriages from OBB

Hungarian and Austrian state-owned regional railway company GYSEV purchased 26 used InterCity carriages from Austrian peer OBB, GYSEV said yesterday, according reports.
GYSEV paid HUF 3.1 billion for the 26 carriages, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.
After being repainted and renovated, the carriages are to be operated on the Sopron-Budapest and Szombathely-Budapest routes as of this summer.
OBB last renovated the carriages between 2002-2009, MTI said.
