György Wáberer to advise Mid Europa Partners
After the announcement of being bought out from Waberer’s International and retiring from the haulage company’s leading position, founder György Wáberer (pictured) is set to join Mid Europa partners, the firm that will acquire a majority stake in his company, as a senior strategic advisor, according to a press release issued today.
“I am very happy that Mid Europa Partners will keep developing Waberer’s,” Wáberer said. “As a former co-owner of the [haulage] company and based on the experience of the last five years, I am convinced that the company is in good hands,” the founder commented on his retirement and promotion.
“We are thankful to Mr. Wáberer for his contribution in making the [haulage] company outstanding in the Central Eastern European region,” Miklós Bethlen, partner and office leader at Mid Europa Partners, said. “We are happy to continue working with Mr. Wáberer as a senior strategic partner,” he added.

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.

We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
