The local unit of Spanish car interior company Grupo Antolin has completed a HUF 5.7 billion production hall at its base on the outskirts of Kecskemét, the head of accounting at Antolin Hungary told Hungarian news agency MTI.

The structure cost €7 million to build and the production line machinery cost €20 mln, said Róbert Papp of Antolin Hungary .

European Union and state grant money covered almost HUF 1 bln of the cost of the investment, he said. A condition for the grant money was adding 68 more jobs at the base, bringing total headcount to around 600, he added.

Antolin Hungary supplies German car manufacturer Daimlerʼs plant in Kecskemét with carpets and parts for car-trunks and doors. It also makes deliveries to German peer Intier Automotive Eybl and exports to China.

Antolin Hungary reported a profit of more than €6 mln on revenue of €108 mln last year. Exports generated €72 mln of the total. Domestic sales, which all go to the Daimler plant, were up 30% at €36 mln.
