Hungarian flooring manufacturer Graboplast has inaugurated an expansion at its Tatabánya plant with the addition of an 850 square-meter warehouse, realized through an investment of HUF 175 million, according to a press release issued yesterday.

The addition to the plant, which was opened this February, was realized in response to increasing interest in the products rolling out of Tatabánya. Since opening, the plant has turned out flooring that could cover the renovation of 300 hospitals and 500 store spaces, the press statement said.

The warehouse opened yesterday is part of a total HUF 8.7 billion investment program up until 2017, which has been supported with a HUF 3 bln government subsidy, the press statement noted. Through this program, Graboplast expects to raise the headcount at the company by 120 by the end of next year. Currently, the company employs a staff of 700.

Products made by Graboplast are exported to 80 countries, with approximately 90% of the companyʼs revenues generated on export markets, the press statement noted.
