Gov’t readies bill on minimum sales staff requirement for retailers
The Hungarian government is expected to put forward legislation in the next two weeks that would set a minimum staff requirement for stores over 400 sqm, according to a report published by business daily Világgazdaság today.
The draft bill stipulates that retailers must provide at least one staff member for every 70sqm of space they occupy, and these employees would be required to assist customers during opening hours, Világazdaság reported.
