Government signs agreement with Japanese auto industry supplier

The Hungarian government yesterday signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Japanese-owned manufacturer of diesel particulate filters, Ibiden Hungary, according to Hungarian news agency MTI. 

The agreement was signed by state secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade László Szabó and Ibiden Hungary head Yasuhiro Asano. The agreement provides the foundation of Ibidenʼs expansion plans in Hungary, the ministry said in a statement.

The main areas of cooperation between Ibiden and the government are development of production, of R&D and of a vocational training partnership, it added.
