Foreign companies look to raise wages by 2.8% next year

Foreign-owned companies in Hungary are planning to raise wages by an average 2.8% next year, according to a recent survey by the German-Hungarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DUIHK), Hungarian news agency MTI reported today.

The survey included 60 multinational companies operating in Hungary. These companies raised wages in their Hungarian units by an average of 3.7% this year, however, the 2014 forecast of DUIHK expected an average increase of 5%.
