Int’l Relations

Hungaryʼs Eximbank is establishing a EUR 45 mln credit line to support cooperation between Hungarian and Serbian business partners, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said at a Hungarian-Serb business forum in Budapest on Wednesday, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.

The Hungarian National Trading House (MNKH), set up by the Hungarian state to find new opportunities for Hungarian companies on foreign markets, is preparing to open an office in Belgrade, and two more Hungarian trade offices will open soon in Subotica and Novi Sad, northern Serbia, Szijjártó said.

Serbian Finance Minister Dusan Vujovics told the forum that his country offered investors looking for a stable financial and investment environment an excellent target. Bilateral trade between Hungary and Serbia exceeded €1.7 bln last year. The governments of Hungary and Serbia held a joint session in Budapest on Wednesday.
